Chief Information Officer

Len Camara is a proven technology leader with 20+ years of experience delivering enterprise-wide strategies, architecture, and applications that impact the bottom line. He has mentored and developed high performance teams supporting global 24×7 operations. He is recognized for his vision, creativity, and contributions to lead digital transformations leveraging web, mobile, public/private cloud, and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

In his current role as Chief Information Officer at Energy Federation, Inc., he leads the organization’s technology efforts in support of both internal applications and client related systems.

Previously, Mr. Camara operated his own consulting firm, LJC Limited, providing fractional CIO services to organizations in the area of digital transformation, application development, and IT Operations. He led the digital transformation for three high growth lines of business, with a total revenue of $200M, all part of Bright Horizons, a $1.3B global provider of child care and other work life balance services to Fortune 500 clients. This included the development of multiple customer facing SaaS applications used to enhance the service delivery. He led the overall architecture, application road map, vendor management, team development, and operational support globally. He led the comapny’s mobile strategy and the development of the first mobile applications used by Bright Horizons’ customers in requesting services. Additionally, he was responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s data warehouse and business intelligence effort.

Prior to Bright Horizons, Mr. Camara was the CIO at TNCI, a telecommunications company based in Boston, Massachusetts. During his tenure with the organization, he led the automation of a 24×7 call center and development of both partner and customer portals. These portals streamlined the service delivery and improved customer satisfaction. In addition to his IT management, Mr. Camara led the company’s build out of a Voice Over IP (VoIP) network providing voice and data to businesses across the country. These responsibilities included oversight of engineering, 24×7 Network Operations Center, and customer provisioning.

Prior to TNCI, Mr. Camara held leadership and management positions across a spectrum of industries including high technology, communications, manufacturing/distribution, and software. He has experience in Fortune 500 companies as well as start up environments. These included organizations such as Polaroid, Toysmart.com, BBN (GTE Internetworking, Genuity), Reebok, The DATA Group, and his own consulting company.

Mr. Camara holds a Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant University.
