Franklin Energy’s Product Division, AM Conservation, Agrees to Acquire Energy Federation, Inc.
Every year, EFI looks forward to Earth Day. It’s one of our favorite holidays of the year! This year, while it was celebrated much differently than normal due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we were proud to be able to offer large discounts on energy efficiency products for utility customers nationwide, helping them save money and energy while remaining at home during this challenging time.
The Earth Day promotion offered significant savings on smart thermostats from ecobee and Nest, resulting in a 44% increase in conversion rates on marketplace websites. One client, in particular, saw a substantial increase in their smart thermostat sales. In the two weeks prior to the Earth Day promotion, they sold around 75 units on their marketplace. During the promotional period, they sold over 800 smart thermostats. That incredible 1,000% increase allowed them to support their customers and meet their evolving needs while they manage a new life at home.
EFI and its utility partners exceeded their forecast for the promotion handily, selling nearly 10,000 thermostats after projecting to sell around 8,000. The promotion performed so well, in fact, manufacturers and our utility partners agreed to extend the discounted offer by 1 week so that more customers could take advantage of the promotion.
More than ever, utility companies want to support their clients while they adapt to this new normal. The Earth Day promotion proved to be a timely effort to do just that as homeowners everywhere are taking advantage of their extra time at home to upgrade to a more energy-efficient lifestyle.
